Dear Cave Diving Community,

Many of you have probably seen the classic cave diving book The Art of Safe Cave Diving.  In addition to still being a valuable reference for cave divers, this book captures the intensity and attention to detail that typified the leaps in overhead training that occurred at its first and subsequent printings.  “TAOSCD” has been out of print since 2004 and is considered to be a collector’s item, a proud member of any cave diver’s library and one of the best-named textbooks in cave diving.  This book, along with the NACD’s Cavern/Cave Diver Student Workbook represents some of the best and most current training materials for the overhead environment.

The NACD is in the final steps of republishing the 1995 version of the book, faithfully reproduced with original artwork and text.   It was originally printed in 1973, only five years after the NACD was established, and has been out of print since 2004.  We need your help to push this project to completion, as the startup costs for re-printing a book of this age are steep.  Please make your donation today to the NACD’s The Art of Safe Cave Diving fund.  You can donate on-line at Art Book Donations Online, just select the “Art of Safe Cave Diving Book Fund”.
